HKU Medicine Clinical Lab

University of Hong Kong Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine

Among the trees, the uphill breeze, stood a building that schooled more than a hundred years of thought. At the 130th anniversary of Faculty of Medicine at HKU, LAAB is honored to work with the Dean and other Professors to explore what “Future Hospital” looks like. We hope to create a space where nature meets nurture, emotions meets rationality, and the past meets the future. We believe in the magical power of our nature—not only can it heal a broken heart, but somehow, it also calms our bodies and minds, enabling the creativity necessary for learning and thinking. By bringing in the beautiful views of trees, hills and the harbor, we hope that all of you who enters the building– doctors, nurses, professors, students, and janitors—can take a moment to embrace the gifts of our nature. The future to a hundred year of wisdom lies in not only the compassion to heal, but also the commitment to sustain all lives.
